The Clark County Education Association works diligently to keep members abreast of the latest developments affecting public education at the local, state and national level.
To deliver the information, CCEA utilizes publications, postcards and e-mail messages.
The following is a list and description of the publications:
- CCEA Express
The CCEA Express is the official publication of the Clark County Education Association. It is published 10 times during the school year. This publication includes information on hot topics, contract related matters, editorial columns from the President and Executive Director, calendar of association events, a frequently asked questions section, a legal column to provide in-depth information on issues and provisions, promotions and discounts available to CCEA members, classroom activities and ideas, grants & awards information and much more.
- A View from the Hill
A View from the Hill is was first launched during the 2005 Legislative Session in a postcard format to provide members with activity and bills information throughout the session and to call for action to either defeat bad legislation or to garner support for those measures that would improve public education.
This year, A View from the Hill has been adapted for e-mail format and delivery. Members and the public at large sign up to receive the electronic updates. This e-mail publication keeps members informed of the latest developments impacting education in the 75th session of the Nevada Legislature.
- The Monday Report
This publication was originally created to provide all licensed personnel with facts and information during the failed Teamster's attempt to mislead employees and raid the organization. As of May 26, 2009 we are resurrecting this easy-to-read bulletin to provide you with the latest legislative and negotiations developments.
- CCEA in the News
This section of the website provides access to news coverage CCEA receives as we fight for teachers' rights and to preserve public education.
