Senator Heller’s decision to support the Secretary of Education nominee is a disappointment. It doesn’t represent Nevada’s families. It isn’t based on good policy.
Nevada’s senator had an opportunity today to change the course of education for our state and our nation. Instead, he chose to play politics. Now the door to privatizing public education has been opened. Thousands of educators told Heller to vote no. They won’t forget his dismal choice!
What can you do? There are decisions being made at the state level right now during the Legislative Session that impact educators. Stay tuned for ways to be involved!
